What Will I Be Doing? :
To sell, coordinate, and service all weddings, acting as wedding primary contact from start to finish of each event, to ensure complete customer satisfaction. Additionally responsible for sales and service of wedding related special events as well as catering events with no group rooms attached (includes day meetings). Coordination of service needs to the Operations and Culinary/Banquets Team is critical for the success of the position. The ability to balance what the client wants with what is best for the property and work together in a team atmosphere driving revenues for the resort is also vitally important.
What Experience is Needed to Be Successful? :
To be successful in this position, you should have a Bachelor\'s degree in Hotel or Business management, or equivalent experience required. Must be knowledgeable of resort operations areas such as kitchen, front office, restaurants, accounting, clubs and golf. Computer skills with the Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook) and knowledgeable of accepted business presentation formats. You also must have at least 1-2 experience in Wedding Sales & Service, Convention services, Banquet, Hotel Sales, Marketing; or equivalent education and experience. You must have strong oral and written communication skills with a strong attention to detail and customer service focused.
What are the Physical Requirements of the Job? :
This position will spend much of the time standing, bending, keyboarding and will often need to walk, climb stairs, lift/carry up to 25 lbs, driving company vehicles, kneel, crouch, reach/handle, and reach overhead. On some occasions, will need to work in the outdoors and work longer shifts during the event days.
